Areas of Practice in immigration Law
Point Based System:
Tier 1-
Highly skilled workers : Applying under the Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system. You do not need to have a specific job offer but will need to demonstrate you are highly skilled, have money to support yourself and are able to speak English.
Entrepreneurs . If you want to come to the United Kingdom as an entrepreneur, there are specific arrangements for you.
Investors If you want to invest in the United Kingdom you will need to demonstrate that you have the money to do so.
Post-Study Workers . If you graduated from a university in the United Kingdom, you can apply to stay in the United Kingdom to work once you have completed your studies if you graduated withi 12 months from date pf application.
Tier 2 (General) –
SKILLED WORKER :A category of the points-based system for coming to the United Kingdom to work, train or study. It applies to skilled people with a job offer who are looking for employment in the United Kingdom, or are self-employed or setting up a business.
Tier 2 –INTRA –COMPANY TRANSFERS: A category of the points-based system for coming to the United Kingdom to work, train or study. It applies to sponsors who are transferring employees within an organisation to a skilled job under Tier 2.
TIER 3 - Low skilled workers filling specific temporary labour shortages, for example construction workers for a particular project;
TIER 4 STUDENTS- ADULT AND CHILDREN
All applications for entry clearance, extensions of leave to remain in the UK, Changing schools, Notifying Home office of Change of your circumstance etc.
TIER 5-TEMPORARY WORKERS: Youth mobility and temporary workers for example musicians coming to play in a concert.

All EEA and Swiss nationals can enter and live in the UK without needing to apply for our permission. But some EEA nationals do not automaticaly have the right to work here:
- If you are a national of a country that joined the European Union (EU) in 2004, you may need to register with us when you start work - see below.
- If you are a national of Bulgaria or Romania, you may need to apply for our permission before you start work - see below.
- All other EEA and Swiss nationals are free to take work in the UK without needing to apply for our permission. .Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are not members of the European Union (EU) but citizens of these countries have the same rights to enter, live in and work in the United Kingdom as EU citizens.Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
Bulgarian and Romanian Nationals
If you are a Bulgarian or Romanian national, you may need our permission before you can work in the United Kingdom. This section explains who needs to apply for permission, and how to apply.
Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme :This section describes the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme, which allows Bulgarian or Romanian nationals to undertake short-term agricultural work in the United Kingdom.
